Welcome to the Families First Pals Blog Hop for April 2017. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our 2017 Blog Hop monthly themes. This month we are featuring projects that are all about our families. This is a great time of year to think about what to make for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or upcoming graduations. And, family vacations are just around the corner… how would you want to remember those special family moments? We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below. The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.
For today's project I used something old and something new. Confirmation! What a wonderful event to bring the family together. Lots of learning and preparation goes into being confirmed and it is a great thing for a family to celebrate. The sentiment and cross come from the retiring All God's Grace stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. The colors are Berry Burst and Smoky Slate.
The something new items are from the Stampin' Up! demonstrator pre-order. You might notice the color Berry Burst is one of the new 2017-2019 In Colors. I used the Berry Burst card stock and the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper along with the new Glittery Enamel Dots and the Pretty Label Punch for the Bible verse on the front of the card and the sentiment on the inside of the card.
I also used the Bunch of Banners Framelits and the Layering Ovals Framelits for cutting out some of the layers. Let me tell you, I LOVE the Glittery Enamel Dots. You get 160 dots in a variety of dark to light in blue, yellow, pink and green. I used three gradual colors for this card front going light to dark. These are going to be a very popular item, I just know it :)
Thanks for stopping by today. Make sure to continue with the hop and please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!
