For this card I used the Santa's Sleigh Thinlits Dies and Photopolymer Stamp Set from the upcoming Holiday Catalog from Stampin' Up!. I love the intricate detail of the thinlits! I created the sleigh in cherry cobbler and then created the overlay in dazzling diamonds glimmer paper. With the precision base plate this project is a snap.
To get the sentiment I wanted I cut the three words Merry Christmas Wishes into three separate pieces. This way I can use the entire sentiment or just Merry Christmas or just Christmas Wishes! The Merry Christmas fits perfectly to be punched out using the classic label punch and then I layered it over one of the bunch of banners framelits.
The Candy Cane Lane Design Series Paper is just the thing for that added snowy background. Using the swirly scribbles thinlits I made that cute snowdrift on the bottom of the card with dazzling diamonds glimmer paper. Just a few snowflake sequins and some rhinestones for that added sparkle makes this such a fun and easy card.
Here is a close up of the sleigh showing you how nicely the two pieces fit together. I cannot say how much easier it is when using the precision base plate with these intricate dies.
