A Work of Art for GDP064

Today I played along with the Global Design Project #GDP064.  This week's challenge is to CASE the incredibly talented Connie Collins. Connie's work is just amazing! She has a way of using color and creates the most incredible projects, flowers being one of her signature stamps of choice.

Here is the card of Connie's that we are CASE-ing (Copy and Selectively Edit) You can take inspiration from the colors, layout, stamp set, theme - whatever you are inspired by!  Plan to play along and head over to the Global Design Project Challenge and see all of the fun projects.

My take on this beautiful card that is truly a work of art was to use the Painter's Palette stamp set with some floral colors.  I love how the Painter's Palette stamp set lets me create my own work of art.

Project Details:
  • I  stamped the easel from the Painter's Palette stamp set in Rich Razzleberry Ink and layered it over a piece of Rich Razzleberry Card Stock.
  • I used the Painter's Palette stamp set from Stampin' Up! and stamped the sentiment in Sweet Sugarplum Ink and the background of the sentiment in Flirty Flamingo Ink.
  • Then I stamped the little push pin in Tip Top Taupe Ink.
  • I cut out the square sentiment and scalloped layer using the Layering Squares Framelits Dies and used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up.
  • The background comes from the Blooms & Bliss Design Series Paper and is layered over Tip Top Taupe Card Stock.
  • I added some Flirty Flamingo Enamel Dots to finish the paint splatters.

Which House of Hogwarts do you belong in?

This card was made for a special Harry Potter lover of the House of Ravenclaw using the unique Hogwarts stamp that I got when I had the chance to visit Universal Studios Orlando this last Fall.  Pacific Point card stock and the coordinating background design series paper stack are the perfect color choice for this fun Birthday card!

With the release of the newest Harry Potter Movie: Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them, my husband and I have been watching all of the movies in the series from the beginning.  I dare say I am hoping for my own personal Hogwarts Letter in the mail...LOL!!!

Star of Light for Mojo Monday 475

For my project today I played along with the sketch challenge at Mojo Monday 475.  I changed the placement a bit based on how the sentiment stamped with the star.  This Star of Light stamp set is so much fun!!!  Plan to play along and head over to Mojo Monday and see all of the great projects.
http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2016/11/mojo-monday-475.html
Project Details:

  • I cut out the star in Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper and star background in Basic Black card stock using the Starlight Thinlits Dies.
  • The background snowflake paper is from the This Christmas Specialty Design Paper.
  • I used the Banner Triple punch for the Basic Black banner and Blushing Bride Glimmer banner.

Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip Blog Hop "Onstage Highlights"

Welcome to the Thailand Incentive Trip Achievers Blog Hop for November. This hop is with all of the top demonstrators around the world that have achieved the amazing Stampin' Up!® Incentive trip. This month our theme is the "Onstage Highlights". As demonstrators we get to go to special launch events that highlight the new products that are coming soon. We have such a wonderful time and want to highlight what we saw and did at these events. Of course this is only a highlight - we could show you so much more but next time you will need to come.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Jennifer Michalski @ Stamping Serenity or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Jennifer Michalski @ Stamping Serenity.

I cannot say enough about the wonderful leadership of Shelli Gardner and her daughter Sarah Douglass of Stampin' Up!  They inspire us to create and share our passion of paper crafting with others. I have a few highlight photos from Center Stage and OnStage that I want to share.

I was not able to attend the event, but was in complete shock to learn that I was honored to be in the top 100 Stampin' Up! Demonstrators (#97).  I cannot thank my customers and team enough for the support and friendship that helps me along the way each day.  And a special thanks to my mentors and uplines: Mary Fish and Lisa Pretto!!!!  These ladies give generously of their time and talent to each and every one of their team and it is greatly appreciated!!!!  Here is a photo of some of my team members who earned the 2017 Incentive Trip, I am so proud to be a part of such a fabulous organization like Stampin' Up!

As a demonstrator we get the option to pre-order from the Occasions Catalog that was unveiled at OnStage...my wish list is long, believe me.  I have put together a wish list for the new catalog that you can use for yourself and your customers.  Just click HERE to download and print it for yourself.  Also make sure to check out my 2017 Occasions Catalog Pinterest Board!

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss. Remember that currently you are at my blog - Jennifer Michalski @ Stamping Serenity, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list.

Pals November Blog Hop “Anything But A Card”

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for November 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month our projects feature items that are considered 3D, Home Décor or Gift Sets. We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-Up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.
For my project I used the Star of Light Stamp Set and matching Starlight Thinlits Dies for these pretty ornaments.  The colors are Sweet Sugarplum and Gold Glimmer Paper.  Using the Precision Base Plate with these thinlits makes it so easy, the small pieces just fall right out.  Here are the three individual ornaments.
I made them so that they are the same on both sides and used dimensionals in the middle to attach them together and give them more pop.  Then I added some pearls for that added vintage look.  You can make them in any color you like, or maybe in a variety of colors for a festive Holiday!
Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!
