The Remarkable InkBig March Blog Hop

Welcome to the Blog Hop for March 2017. This month our theme is “Sale-A-Bration”. You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Jennifer Michalski @ Stamping Serenity or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Jennifer Michalski @ Stamping Serenity.

For today's project I used the Sale-A-Bration Make A Medallion stamp set.  I love how you can use the two step stamps to get the different colors in the medallion.  The Cupcakes and Carousels Design Series Paper gave me the perfect colors trio for this card: Bermuda Bay, So Saffron, & Early Espresso.  I added some gold metallic enamel dots and embossed the sentiment using gold embossing powder.  The sentiment comes from one of my must have, favorite stamp sets called Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss. Remember that currently you are at my blog – Jennifer Michalski @ Stamping Serenity, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list.

March Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for March 2017. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our 2017 Blog Hop monthly themes. This month we are featuring Spring or Spring related projects. We hope you enjoy our creations..

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-Up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below. The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

  • For the sentiment on this project I used the Bookcase Builder stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog and punched it out using the Decorative Label Punch.
  • I also used the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies for the trellis on the left hand side in Mint Macaron.  I CASED this idea from a project I saw on Pinterest made by Lisa Fleming.
  • The Bold Butterfly Framelits worked great with the 6x6 Glimmer Paper Stack for the glimmer butterfly.
  • The stamp set called Swirly Bird makes the fun different sized roses climbing their way up the trellis.
  • The glimmer leaves are cut out using the Fox Builder Punch and tucked behind the larger three flowers.
I used the color trio of Rich Razzleberry, Mint Macaron and Sweet Sugarplum.  I love the Blooms and Bliss Designer Series Paper, it gives you such a lovely spring color palette.
I also made a card using the Mint Macaron Glimmer Paper for the Butterfly.  I just love the Glimmer Paper Stack!  Get your very own 6x6 Glimmer Paper Stack FREE with a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration.  Offer ends March 31!!!

I am so happy that you stopped by today! Make sure to continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!

Builder Birdcage For #GDP077

Today I played along with the Global Design Project #GDP077.  This week's color challenge was kind of a tough one for me.  I challenged myself to use a stamp set that I own, but have not used yet.  The Builder Birdcage was one of the first stamp sets I ordered from the Occasions Catalog.  I had so many ideas for projects with this stamp set and today I finally inked it up!
To give you some inspiration - head over to the Global Design Project Challenge and plan to play along and see all of the fun projects.

Project Details:
  • I  stamped the sentiment from the Builder Birdcage stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink on a 1 inch by 4 inch strip of Whisper White card stock.  Then I punched it on one end with the Banner Triple Punch and then on the other end with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.
  • I then tied a bow using the Bermuda Bay 1/8 inch stitched ribbon through the Scalloped Tag Topper Punched edge.
  • Then I layered this finished sentiment piece over the Peekaboo Peach Design Series paper using Stampin' Dimensionals and attached it to a piece of Early Espresso card stock.
  • I stamped the bird cages in Early Espresso ink onto Peekaboo Peach card stock.  Then stamped the birds in Bermuda Bay.  I attached the Peekaboo Peach piece to the Early Espresso card stock using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Then I attached everything to the Bermuda Bay card stock on the front of the card.

  • Finally I added some pearls to the birds and the birdcages and then some clear Wink of Stella to the birds tiny wings.  It is kind of hard to tell in the picture, but it is nice and sparkly :)
When I first got the Wink of Stella I was adding it to almost all of my projects, so I limited myself to using it every so often and had to keep it out of immediate eyesight when creating.  I love every time I add it to a card, the sparkle is so subtle and pretty!

  • I then layered some Pop of Pink Specialty Design Series Paper over Basic Black card stock and Whisper White card stock following the sketch layout.
  • The balloons are cut out using the Balloon Bouquet Punch in Silver Foil Paper
  • Add some Stampin' Dimensionals here and there along with some Rhinestones and voila' a wonderful Birthday card.

I have been trying to send out more birthday cards this year and this card is going to be one of the fun ones I am sending in the month of March.  I love using the #imbringingbirthdaysback stamp on my cards too.  Check it out HERE.
