Grand Vacation Achievers April Blog Hop: Zoo Baby Love!

Welcome to the Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop for April. This month our theme is Baby Love. We are sure that you will find some incredible inspiration from the projects that you are about to see.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Stamping Serenity or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Stamping Serenity

For this project I made a fun zoo baby dresser card.  I scored the card with my score board.  For the dresser bottom, I clipped it with my decorative label punch.  The dresser drawers are made using the modern label punch (retired) and sponged with wisteria wonder for that added depth.    I used the retiring Zoo Babies stamp set, one of my favorite stamp sets for baby cards.  Aren't they just too cute?

Here are the colors that I used for this baby love card:
Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss. Remember that currently you are at my blog - Stamping Serenity, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list.

Going Global For Global Design Project #033

Let me tell you this card was a challenge for me to make for the Global Design Project 033!  I rarely use the color Calypso Coral, so I had to make a few attempts at this card.  I finally came up with something I wanted to share.  The Global Design Project color challenge is:
http://www.global-design-project.com/2016/04/global-design-project-033-colour.html
I used the Going Global stamp set from Stampin' Up! that will be retiring on May 31.  I love the big dipper stamp in this stamp set.  For as long as I can remember the big dipper was always the first constellation I looked for in the sky at night.  I added a few metallic gold stars for some twinkle.  I truly do thank my lucky stars for all of my stamping friends.  Thanks for stopping by, I hope you get a chance to make something special too.  Here are all of the Stampin' Up! products I used on this card:

Bloomin' Happiness for PPA 297

http://palspaperarts.com/2016/04/21/ppa297-a-color-challenge-from-jackie-diediker/
The Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge 297 was just a super trio of colors to work with.  I used the Bloomin Hearts thinlits dies and the Happy Happenings Stamp set from Stampin' Up!  I cut three of the Bloomin' Hearts Thinlits and layered them using dimensionals to give the card a really pretty 3D look.  Here are a few close up shots of the layering on the card.

The sentiment is punched out using the 1-3/8 inch circle punch and layered over the retiring Label Bracket Punch.  The pool party flowers are buttons that I added with glue dots.  I also added some rhinestones to the wisteria wonder flowers to finish the card.

Here are the Stampin' Up! Supplies I used for this card.  It took me about 30 minutes to design, cut and complete this project, so even though it has a lot of detail it really is a quick and easy project with the right tools in hand.  Thanks for stopping by :)

Floral Wings for PPA296!

Today's card is a sketch challenge from Susan Itell over at the Pals Paper Arts.  I decided to play along using the stamp set Floral Wings that you can purchase for just $10 with your host dollars with your Stampin' Up! order.  This stamp set will only be available until May 31.  I embossed the vine and leaves in clear and stamped the roses in rose red.  I love how the embossing gave it a raised shiny look!  The bold butterfly framelits fit so nicely together with the butterflies thinlits dies.  I usually am not one to love butterflies, but I liked how this blushing bride and rose red butterfly turned out.  The sentiment is punched out using the word window punch and layered over a bitty banner framelit.  The love blossoms design series paper stack isn't just for Valentine's Day!

April Pals Blog Hop...Families First!

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for April 2016.  We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month we are featuring projects that are all about our families. This is a great time of year to think about what to make for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or upcoming graduations. And, family vacations are just around the corner… how would you want to remember those special family moments? We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.
For my project today I created a Mother's Day card using one of my favorite stamp sets from Stampin' Up! called Flower Shop.  It has such pretty flowers that you can stamp and a coordinating Pansy Punch that punches the flowers out so easily.  The front is set up to be three daisies in a vase, using the Note Tag Punch for the vase.  The flower stems are punched from the Bird Builder Punch.  I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the center of each flower for some added sparkle.

On the inside of this card I used the First Sight Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!  The leaves are stamped in Pear Pizzazz and the sentiment was stamped in Wisteria Wonder and punched out using the 2 Inch Circle Punch and layered over the 2 3/8 Inch Scallop Circle Punch.

Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!
