This Little Piggy for #GDP089

Today I played along with the Global Design Project Challenge #GDP089.  This wee is was a color challenge and it proved to be a little challenging for me, but here is what I came up with.  To play along, head over to the Global Design Project and see what the design team came up with this week.
I used a new stamp set from Stampin' Up!'s Annual Catalog for this card called This Little Piggy.  You can order your very own stamp set on June 1, so mark your calendar!

I also used the Layering Squares Framelits for the background behind the little piggy along with some Calypso Coral floral background paper.  The sentiment is die cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and I added some Old Olive 3/8 Inch Mini Chevron Ribbon, another new item from the upcoming catalog.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Fresh Florals for #GDP088

Today I played along with the Global Design Project Challenge #GDP088.  This week we are casing the amazing Shawn de Oliveira. His style is incredible!  Remember that when you CASE a project you can Copy And Selectively Edit - so take what you like from the design and make it your own. It might be the stamp set - the colors, the layout, the flowers, whatever you like that has inspired you to make a card of your own. To play along, head over to the Global Design Project and see what the design team came up with this week.
I was inspired by the floral and theme of Shawn's card and I used two stamp sets from Stampin' Up!'s Annual Catalog for this card.  Thoughts & Prayers and Floral Phrases brought this card together.  The colors are: Berry Burst, Whisper White and Powder Pink.

I also used the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack in Powder Pink along with the Pretty Label Punch, both new items from the upcoming Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Here are all of the Stampin' Up! products I used for this card.

Thailand Achievers May Blog Hop

Welcome to the Thailand Incentive Trip Achievers Blog Hop for May 2017. This month our theme is the "2017/2018 Annual Catalog Sneak Peek". We want to show you some of the AMAZING products that are available for demonstrators to order right now! So, if you join you are able to get your hands on this new product early. You are going to love this new Annual Catalog.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Jennifer Michalski @ Stamping Serenity or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Jennifer Michalski @ Stamping Serenity .
For today's project I used the Thankful Life Stamp Set.  This set is only available until May 31 and can be purchased with your Stampin' Rewards when your order reaches $150 or more.
I love how beautiful the two step stamping images work together when you use a mix of colors.  The font was what drew me to this stamp set as well.  For this card I used Tranquil Tide, Powder Pink and Elegant Eggplant.
This is a Z-Fold card as you can see from the top profile.  I love to use fun folds for different projects that give you a little more creativity.
I also am giving you a sneak peek at some new items from the upcoming Annual Catalog that you can begin ordering on June 1.  I added some rhinestones for a little bling and used the layering circles framelits and the stitched shapes framelits dies for layering.
Here is a FREE Template you can download with all of the measurements to create your very own Z-Fold card.

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss. Remember that currently you are at my blog - Jennifer Michalski @ Stamping Serenity , so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list.

Card Kits Are So Much Fun

Have you ever put together a card kit?  I put together the Oh Happy Day Card Kit yesterday afternoon and it was so much fun!  If you don't have a lot of time or a lot of creative energy, you can just relax and enjoy some crafting time without having to come up with layouts, cut paper and measure paper.  Don't get me wrong I do enjoy doing all those things, but every once in a while I just want to sit and visit with someone and create without having to measure and cut and measure again.  Card kits are the perfect way to enjoy some crafting time without a lot of prep or fuss.
It’s easy to create a stack of all-occasion cards with the all-inclusive Soft Sayings Card Kit.  Watch the video above and Stampin' Up! trainer, Holly, gives you some tips and tricks for creating the cards that come in the kit.  This card kit makes 20 cards, 2 each of 10 designs, using the included Soft Sayings Stamp Set. The Soft Sayings Card Kit will be available for purchase on June 1 in the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.  So mark your calendar!

I want to make sure you are getting the best deal on your stamping products as possible.  Do you receive my weekly customer newsletter?  If not, you will want to as I offer project tips, product tips, special deals and more.  Sign up to receive my newsletter HERE.

Sprinkles of Life for #GDP087

Today I participated in the Global Design Project Color Challenge #GDP087.  Can you think of some projects that you can make using this sketch? To assist you with inspiration, head over to the Global Design Project and see what the design team came up with for this theme.
I decide to use the Sprinkles of Life stamp set from Stampin' Up!'s Annual Catalog for this card.  You can create cupcakes or trees with this versatile stamp set.  The cool thing about this set is that it will be around for another year, so you have some time to make wonderful projects with it and the coordinating Tree Builder Punch.
The happy is die cut from the Hello You Thinlits which are retiring on May 31, so you only have a few weeks left to get them for your very own.  The colors are a mix that I have been seeing a lot of lately, they are fun, fresh and bright: Lemon Lime Twist, Whisper White and Bermuda Bay.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Here are all of the Stampin' Up! products I used for this card.

Kylie's May International Highlights!!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  I am joining a group that is being highlighted internationally by Kylie Bertucci and you are able to VOTE for my project. The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop so please vote for my project.
http://www.craftykylie.com/2017/05/kylies-international-blog-highlights.html
Our theme for this month's highlight is Masculine.  I used the stamp set called One Wild Ride for this Masculine Birthday Card.  I have loved motorcycles from the time I could say vroom, vroom!!!  When I saw this stamp set I was so excited, even more so  I was proud to see that it was designed by one of our very own Stampin' Up! Demonstrators named Dawn Griffith, who also happens to be a million dollar sales achiever.  All of the measurements for this project are listed at the bottom of this post.

The colors for this card are Dapper Denim, Very Vanilla, and Lemon Lime Twist.  I love how the exhaust stamp makes a great background with the Hexagon Embossing Folder.  I added some dimension to the motorcycle by popping up the stamped oval with Stampin' Dimensionals.
The inside of the card has a little piece of the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper layered behind the sentiment.  The Eastern Palace Bundle is available for purchase right now in two different bundles.  Check them out HERE.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today make sure you head over to Kylie's blog to vote for my project. I would love to be chosen to do an international blog hop.  Here are all of the products I used for this card:

Pals May Blog Hop - "Stepped Up"

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for May 2017. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our 2017 Blog Hop monthly themes. This month we are featuring projects that are “stepped up” by using textures or fun techniques. We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below. The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.
For today's project I made a Mother's Day card in a box.  It is a fun technique in making a unique project.  The sentiment comes from the retiring Everyday Tags stamp set from the Stampin' Up!  The colors are Daffodil Delight, Tranquil Tide and Whisper White.
Some of the other items are from the Stampin' Up! demonstrator pre-order.  I used the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper along with the new Glittery Enamel Dots and the Daisy Punch for the embellishments on this project.
Want to make your very own card in a box?  Follow the instructions below.  You can also  download a PDF tutorial with an additional project shown by clicking HERE
Card in a box directions:
  • Cut a piece of card stock to measure 8 1/4” x 9”
  • Score along the 9” end at 2 1/8”, 4 ¼”, 6 3/8” and 8 1/2 “
  • Turn 90’ and score at 2 3/4”
  • With the 8 1/4” side on top, and your 2 3/4” score to the left of the cardstock cut to measure 6”. Save the piece that is cut off.
  • Measure the ‘scrap pieces’ and cut to 3 1/8, making sure to include the ‘tab’. You’ll end up with a piece that now has a tab along each side. Cut in half at 1 1/8” so now you have to strips, each with a ‘tab’ on each end. Fold tabs up in a ‘z’ and adhere sticky strip to ends and set aside.
  • Take main card stock piece so the 2 3/4” side is at the top and cut along the small square score lines to create flaps. Trim off tiny strip left over, you don’t need it.
  • Fold on the creases and use sticky strip to adhere box together.
  • To decorate the flaps, you can use DSP or card stock for the top four panels, cutting them at 2” x 2 5/8”
  • Add two ‘z’ strips inside of box – these are your two panels to stick your decorations that you want to ‘pop’ out of the box.
  • If you want to add card stock for writing your message to the back of the box – this piece will need to be cut at 5 7/8” x 2”
  • Embellish as desired.
Thanks for stopping by today. Make sure to continue with the hop and please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!
