January Mediterranean Achievers Blog Hop . . . All You Need Is Love!

Welcome to the Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop for January. This month our theme is "All You Need Is Love". We are sure that you will find some incredible inspiration from the projects that you are about to see.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Jennifer Michalski at Stamping Serenity or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Jennifer Michalski at Stamping Serenity.

For this card I used the Rose Wonder stamp set along with the Rose Garden Thinlits Dies, both from Stampin' Up!  First I ran the large rose die through my big shot using black glimmer paper, then I ran a piece of real red card stock through my vintage wallpaper embossing folder (retired) for added texture behind the black rose.  Then I used my fine tip glue pen to adhere the delicate rose to the real red cardstock.  The sentiment stamped so nice and perfectly using versa mark and then I added black embossing powder with my heat tool.  I punched out the sentiment with the scallop oval punch and layered it over the frame die from the rose garden thinlits dies using a few dimensionals.  Black and red are two of my favorite colors to put together, they were my wedding colors more than 20 years ago and they still remind me of love today!  Red roses are one of my favorites!  Check out all of the fun products below.

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss. Remember that currently you are at Jennifer Michalski at Stamping Serenity, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list.

Love Is In The Air!

Here is my Global Design Project 020 Challenge card.  This week's challenge was to case the designer and here is the sketch that I played along with.
http://www.global-design-project.com/2016/01/global-design-project-gdp020-case.html
For this card I used basic black and real red along with some retired design series paper from last year's Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog.  The sentiment is stamped from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, which is so versatile gives you lots of sentiments to work with.  Then it is punched out using the word window punch and layered over the retired modern label punch.  The hearts are punched out using colored felt and layered over one another.  The sketch card just brought the phrase "Ooh, La, La" to my mind.  Head on over to the Global Design Project and check out all of the projects or play along!

In Love With Global Design Project 019

Today I played along with the Global Design Project 019 theme: Love!  I made this sweet valentine's day card using rose red and blushing bride card stock from Stampin' Up!  I die cut a larger heart in rose red and layered two smaller hearts I punched out of felt and popped the sentiment up using some dimensionals.  I also am "in love" with the happy heart embossing folder, it is a must have for making those cute valentine's day cards!  I used it on the blushing bride perfectly artistic design series paper that you can earn for FREE with your $50 Stampin' Up! order.  Be sure to check out all of the card ideas over at the Global Design Project or play along!  Thanks for stopping by :)

Minion Magic!

How fun was this card in a box to make?  I love those little minion guys!  For this card in a box I used pacific point, crushed curry and basic black card stock, along with the crushed curry design series paper from the brights dsp stack from Stampin' Up!  I used a minion sticker pack and punched them out using the extra large oval punch, then added a few sequins here and there.  The balloons are punched from the Balloon Bouquet Punch from the Occasions Catalog from Stampin' Up!  Here are the directions on how to make your very own card in a box and a list of all the Stampin' Up! supplies I used.

I Love Flowering Fields...PPA283

Today I played along with the Pals Paper Arts color challenge (PPA283)  For this card I used a bunch of great, new products from the Sale-A-Bration and Occasions Catalogs from Stampin' Up!  I used two stamp sets that you can earn with each $50 order until March 31, one is called What I Love and that is where I got the Thank You sentiment and punched it out using the word window punch.  The other one is called Flowering Fields.  I took each flower stamp and arranged it on a clear block and then I stamped all 4 stamps at one time using versa mark, then I heat embossed them with black embossing powder so that I could use my Stampin' Write Melon Mambo and Mint Macaron markers on the flowers.  I then added some glimmer with the clear Wink of Stella Glitter Pen.  Here is a close up of what the Wink of Stella Glitter Pen looks like on this card.
The background paper has some clear embossed raindrops on the Mint Macaron and comes from the Color Me Irresistible Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I also added the basic black stitched satin ribbon and layered the mint macaron and melon mambo striped bakers twine.  Head on over to the Pals Paper Arts and play along or just check out all of the fun projects.

January Pals Blog Hop "From The Heart"

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for January 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes. This month we are showcasing projects using Stampin’ Up! products featuring a theme from any of the following: Valentine’s Day; Thinking of You; Get Well; or Sympathy. All of these themes come “From the Heart.” We hope you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below. The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.
For the January Pals Blog Hop I made a much needed sympathy card using the classic, extremely popular, and versatile Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! called Lovely As A Tree!  This was one of the very first stamp sets I purchased when I fell in love with stamping.  The colors are Always Artichoke, Sahara Sand, and Early Espresso.  I also used the design series paper called Wildflower Fields that you can earn for free from Stampin' Up! with your $50 order.  The sentiment comes from the Petite Pairs stamp set and is punched out using the 1-1/4 inch circle punch and layered over the extra large oval punch.  Check out all of the Stampin' Up! products I used for this project below.

Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!

Going Global for Mojo Monday 430!

I made this card following along with the Mojo Monday 430 Sketch.  I used the Going Global Stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog and the new Going Places 6 x 6 inch Design Series Paper Stack.  I absolutely love the constellations on this paper along with the Big Dipper stamp included in the Going Global stamp set.  I always could find the Big Dipper in the sky at night, but the Little Dipper was a bit harder for me when I was a kid :)  The sentiment is punched out using the sweetheart punch and layered over the note tag punch over the tea lace paper doily.  I added the 2015-2017 In Color Delightful Dijon Washi Tape to the banner on the top of the card and some Rhinestones for added sparkle!  You can reward yourself with the 2015-2017 In Color Designer Washi Tape (140582) with your Stampin' Up! order when you earn Stampin' Rewards.  Soft Sky and Delightful Dijon work so nicely together with this ds paper.  Check out all of the Mojo Monday projects or play along with the sketch below:
