Spooky Fun for PPA320!

Today I played along with at the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge 320.  I used the Spooky Fun stamp set along with the Halloween Scenes Edgelits.  I flipped the sketch to the left side and added the fun popped out pumpkins and the flying witch!  This is such a wicked stamp set bundle to play with :)  I also used the Halloween Night Specialty Design Series Paper for the background.

This week’s challenge comes from Dawn Tidd.  She used her simple sketch and some classic Christmas colors to make this fabulous card to share with us.  Make sure to check out her wonderful project and head over to play along or just to see all of the cool projects:

2016 September Mediterranean Achievers Blog Hop - Thankfulness!

Welcome to the Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop for September. This month our theme is the Thankfulness as it is our last hop for the Mediterranean Trip. Next month those that have earned the trip to Thailand in 2017 will be hopping each month.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog: Stamping Serenity or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Jennifer Michalski @ Stamping Serenity
I am so thankful that I have been able to be a part of this wonderful blog hop these last months and have had the chance to showcase these fun products from Stampin' Up!

Project Details:
  • I used the Cookie Cutter Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set and coordinating Cookie Cutter Punch from the Holiday Catalog from Stampin' Up!
  • I paired Melon Mambo, Basic Black and the Pop of Pink Specialty Design Series Paper.
  • I punched the sentiment out using the jolly hat builder punch and layered it over the small banner from the Bunch of Banners Framelits.
  • I used the Sparkle Embossing Folder and added some Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter for that added shiny snowy background.
  • Then, using the swirly scribbles thinlits I made that cute snowdrift on the bottom of the card with dazzling diamonds glimmer paper.
  • I added a bunch of dazzling diamonds glimmer snowballs for these two cuties out having a snowball fight and enjoying the snow on this card.
And here is a peek at the inside of the card too :)
Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss. Remember that currently you are at my blog - Jennifer Michalski @ Stamping Serenity, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list.

Thankful for Random Acts of Kindness for #GDP055

For this card I followed the theme challenge from the Global Design Project 055.  The theme this week is one that is close to our hearts - Random Acts of Kindness. Because we all love card making sometimes we can get into a bad habit of collecting our hand made cards and projects instead of sharing it with those that we love. So this is a great challenge to not only make a card, but to think of someone that you would like to send it to.  Head over to the Global Design Project Challenge and see all of the wonderful projects or play along.

The Acorny Thank You Stamp Set and coordinating Acorn Punch work so wonderfully for a card to say how thankful I am.  I found this cool card layout on Pinterest and changed it up to fit my own creation.  This card was made for a special person; someone who is always there to accept my many packages and cards that I mail out each week.  Sometimes people don't need to go out of their way, but they make the effort to do so anyway and that is always greatly appreciated :)

Suite Sayings for PPA319

Today I played along with at the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge 319.  I used the Suite Sayings stamp set and embossed the sentiment using the copper embossing powder, versamark ink pad and a heat tool.  Then I layered the sentiment over a 2 inch circle punched from the copper foil sheet and a delicate doily.  I sponged emerald envy and flirty flamingo over the confetti textured embossing folder for added dimension.  Added a few flirty flamingo enamel shapes and voila', a fun card for a very special person!

This week’s color challenge comes from my dear friend Peggy Noe. Her lovely style is evident in her choice of colors for this week’s challenge.  She chose to use this week’s colors for a beautiful floral arrangement.  Make sure to check out her wonderful project and head over to play along or just to see all of the cool projects:

Clean & Simple Flourishing Phrases for GDP053

I needed to make a special sympathy card, for a dear friend whose Grandmother passed away last week.  Her Grandmother always had special candy or treats for us whenever we visited her.  She was a sweet lady, full of fun, life, and laughter.  She will be missed, but we are also so glad to know she is celebrating with her family that had gone before her in heaven.

For this card I kept it clean and simple and followed the color challenge from the Global Design Project 053.  The colors are night of navy, watermelon wonder and gold.  Head over to the Global Design Project Challenge and see all of the wonderful projects or play along.
http://www.global-design-project.com/2016/09/global-design-project-053-colour.html
The Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set is so versatile, it has so many sentiments and makes such lovely, elegant cards.  You can use it alone or with the coordinating Flourish Thinlits Dies.  I embossed the stamps using a versamark pad and gold embossing powder with my heat tool.  I am so glad to share this lovely card with you today, thanks for stopping by :)

Thank you to everyone that voted for your favorite Holiday Design Series Paper in my poll.  It looks like Candy Cane Lane is one of the most popular papers in the Holiday Catalog this year.  Followed by a tie between Halloween Night and Presents & Pinecones.

It's That Time of Year for PPA317!

What a fun color trio that I played along with at the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge 317.  This week’s featured designer, Michelle Quinno shares simple, clean and pretty cards on her blog, Shell Stamps. Her lovely style is evident in her choice of colors for this week’s challenge.  Make sure to check out her wonderful project and head over to play along or just to see all of the cool projects:
http://palspaperarts.com/2016/09/08/ppa317-a-color-challenge-by-michelle-quinno/
Project Details:
  • I started with Tangerine Tango card stock for the card base and added layers of Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry.
  • The sentiment is stamped in rich razzleberry on very whisper white card stock, then I used the sweet and sassy framelits dies for the layers.
  • The background whisper white paper is from the new Fancy Frost Specialty Design Series Paper.  It comes with 6 white on white textured designs.
  • I added a die cut piece of tangerine tango from the detailed floral thinlits dies.
  • For a finishing touch I placed some basic pearls on the sentiment and flower.
