Bass Fishing!

My Husband's birthday was last week and I wanted to share the card I made for him with you, but wanted to wait until after he got a chance to see it :)  I used some classic Stampin' Up! colors: Always Artichoke and Cajun Craze along with this fun fishing design series paper and then this realistic looking bass sticker.  Oh, did I forget to mention my Hubby lives, breathes, eats fishing?  Yep, he loves it.  I added some linen thread under the sentiment just for you, which comes from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set from Stampin' Up!

A Vacation of A Lifetime!

OFF TO THE MEDITERRANEAN!
Today my husband, Gilbert, and I are navigating airports as well as the Atlantic Ocean in an effort to travel to Barcelona, Spain.  We are looking forward to some fun and relaxation and meeting up with our Stampin’ Up! friends on a week-long Mediterranean Cruise with stops in Italy, France and Spain!  I have never been to Europe and I am trying to keep things simple and hope that I remember how to pronounce "Dov'รจ il bagno?"  Which means "Where is the restroom?" in Italian :)
Here is the travel wallet that we received from Stampin' Up! along with our travel information.  It is a combination of the new Stampin' Up! 2016-2018 In Colors!  I will be sharing photos and highlights of the trip on my Stampin' Serenity Facebook page when I return.  I have to tell you how grateful we are to be able to have this experience from Stampin' Up!  Happy Stamping :)

Pals May Blog Hop “Stepping Up With Textures or Techniques”

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for May 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes. This month we are featuring projects that are “stepped up” by using textures or fun techniques. We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below. The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

For today's project I made a card exploding in a box.  This is my first attempt at this technique.  I followed these instructions on how to cut my card stock and layer it.  To decorate the inside in a flower garden theme, I stamped the smallest flowers using the petite petals stamp set in versa mark and embossed them in gold.  Then I used the pansy punch for the blushing bride flowers and lastly I used the bird builder punch (retiring item) for the flower stems in pear pizzazz.  The butterflies are made using pear pizzazz from the bold butterfly framelits.  The design series paper comes from the Occasions Catalog Love Blossom Design Series Paper Stack that is still available until May 31.  Here is a close up of the gold embossed petite petals.
This was a fun gift box project that you can fit a cupcake or a small gift inside.  Here is a close up of the box top.  I used the curvy corner trio punch (retiring item) on the top corners.  When you lift the top off, the box opens up and explodes with all the flowers and butterflies :)

Here is the color trio that I used for this project:
Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!

A Flirty Flamingo in a Pop of Paradise!

Where do I begin when talking about the 2016-2018 Stampin' Up! In Colors?  They are rich and vibrant and beautiful!  Here is a sneak peak of the Flirty Flamingo and Emerald Envy colors.  I also used the upcoming new Affectionately Yours Design Series Paper and the stamp set called Pop of Paradise.  How cool is the flamingo stamp in the flirty flamingo ink with a little clear wink of stella for that added bling on his feathers?  The ribbon is Emerald Envy 3/8 inch Ruched Ribbon and is also new from the 2016-2017 Stampin' Up! Annual catalog.  Make sure to request your very own copy of the new catalog by clicking HERE.  Here is the preview of the stamp set I used...

Thoughtful Banners for PPA 299

For today's card I created something with a sneak peak from my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator pre-order.  The stamp set is called Thoughtful Banners and has a coordinating Duet Banner Punch!  How much fun is that?  It makes creating banners a snap!
I used these colors as my inspiration from the Pals Paper Arts 299 Color Challenge from my good friend and pal Peggy Noe
http://palspaperarts.com/2016/05/05/ppa299-a-color-challenge-from-peggy-noe/
How sweet these colors blend together, and make such a nice thank you card.  I embossed the banner in gold with the banner stamp then punched it out with the banner punch and stamped the sentiment in pear pizzazz.  I punched out the balloons from gold glimmer paper using the balloon bouquet punch.
I also used the curvy corner trio punch on the gold striped design series paper and then embossed the pink pirouette background pieces with the confetti textured embossing folder.  Shop for your Stampin' Up! supplies HERE

Guy Greetings for #GDP034

The Guy Greetings Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! makes a wonderful Masculine Card!  And it is not retiring, it is carrying over into the New Annual Catalog.  YEAH!!!!  This card would be great for Dad, Grandpa, or just that special Fella who deserves a card of appreciation.  Hmm, I wonder what day this would be for?

For the design of this card I played along with the Global Design Project 034.  Here is the sketch to play along with, so head over and play or just check out all of the project ideas.  Great inspiration!
