Today I played along with the Global Design Project #GDP077. This week's color challenge was kind of a tough one for me. I challenged myself to use a stamp set that I own, but have not used yet. The Builder Birdcage was one of the first stamp sets I ordered from the Occasions Catalog. I had so many ideas for projects with this stamp set and today I finally inked it up!
To give you some inspiration - head over to the Global Design Project Challenge and plan to play along and see all of the fun projects.
Project Details:
- I stamped the sentiment from the Builder Birdcage stamp set in Bermuda Bay ink on a 1 inch by 4 inch strip of Whisper White card stock. Then I punched it on one end with the Banner Triple Punch and then on the other end with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.
- I then tied a bow using the Bermuda Bay 1/8 inch stitched ribbon through the Scalloped Tag Topper Punched edge.
- Then I layered this finished sentiment piece over the Peekaboo Peach Design Series paper using Stampin' Dimensionals and attached it to a piece of Early Espresso card stock.
- I stamped the bird cages in Early Espresso ink onto Peekaboo Peach card stock. Then stamped the birds in Bermuda Bay. I attached the Peekaboo Peach piece to the Early Espresso card stock using Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Then I attached everything to the Bermuda Bay card stock on the front of the card.
- Finally I added some pearls to the birds and the birdcages and then some clear Wink of Stella to the birds tiny wings. It is kind of hard to tell in the picture, but it is nice and sparkly :)
