Star Blast for Mojo Monday 478


Today I played along with the Mojo Monday 478.  It was a fun sketch challenge this week from Julee Tilman.  Plan to play along and head over to the Mojo Monday and see all of the fun projects.
I decided to focus on one of the new stamp sets from the upcoming Occasions Catalog called Birthday Blast!  This stamp set coordinates with the Star Blast Edgelits Dies. 
 
Project Details: 
  • I  stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Blast stamp set in Melon Mambo Ink on Whisper White card stock.  Then punched it out using the duet banner punch.  I then layered the sentiment over Daffodil Delight that was also punched out using the duet banner punch with some stampin' dimensionals.
  • I cut out the spray of stares using the the star blast edgelit in Melon Mambo using the magnetic platform with my big shot. 
  • The layered design series paper background comes from the retired It's My Party Design Series Paper Stack and is layered over Daffodil Delight Card Stock.
  • I finished the card with some retired Basic Black ribbon and added a some basic black sequins as a final touch.

Birthday Blast for Global Design Project 068!

Today I played along with the Global Design Project #GDP068. The challenge theme this week is to CASE the designer Jess Williams. You can take any sort of inspiration from the designer and create your own project. It might be the layout, color palette, balloon, party, or birthday theme. I decided to focus on one of the new stamp sets from the upcoming Occasions Catalog called Birthday Blast!  This stamp set coordinates with the Star Blast Edgelits Dies.  Want to get an Occasions Catalog, click HERE and I will gladly send you one.
 
Project Details: 
  • I  stamped the sentiment from the Birthday Blast stamp set in Night of Navy Ink on Pool Party card stock.  Then I stamped the flourish in versamark ink and embossed it with silver embossing powder using my heat tool.  I brushed some clear wink of stella to the HAPPY and finished off the sentiment with a little rhinestone bling!

  • I cut out the sentiment using the Lots of Labels Framelits Dies and used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up for added dimension.
  • I also cut out the star blast edgelit in pool party using the magnetic platform with my big shot. 
  • The layered design series paper background comes from the Floral Boutique Specialty Design Series Paper and is layered over Night of Navy Card Stock.
  • I finished the card with some retired Night of Navy stitched ribbon and added a rhinestone as a final touch.
