For this sketch challenge I used the stamp set called Signs of Santa.  This is a fun and whimsical stamp set that you can use to make some cool Christmas cards.  Check out the stamp set HERE.  I snipped out the north pole sign and added some color to the pole using my light poppy parade stampin' blend marker.

First Frost & Forever Lovely for WWYS196

Today I played along with the weekly challenge called What Will You Stamp - WWYS196.  Each week they choose a stamp set that you can use to play along with their challenge.  Have fun and play along this week.
For my project I used a sentiment from the first frost stamp set and then the background flowers are from the new forever lovely stamp set (available in the Occasions 2019 Stampin' Up! catalog).
I placed a bit of vellum over the floral stamped piece to give it a soft look.  I love how the layering ovals look with the different colors along with the stitched oval background.  Add some leaf embossing to the final background piece and the card is complete!

Colorful Season for #GDP165 Color Challenge!

Today I played along with the Global Design Project Challenge #GDP165This week's color combination is a beautiful mix of rich, warm colors that are perfect for the upcoming holidays - Tranquil Tide, Merry Merlot and Crumb Cake. How can you go wrong with these gorgeous shades?  Here's a look at this week's colors:
For this card I used some Delightfully Detailed laser-cut specialty paper.  I sponged it in crumb cake and then layered it over a piece of design series paper.  The sentiment is layered over the Tailored Tag punched out of Tranquil Tide.  The snowflakes are die cut using copper foil paper from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits dies.

What Will You Stamp? #195

I was so honored to find out that my card was picked as a winner for the "Seasonal Chums" What Will You Stamp Challenge #192.  By being chosen as a winner, I was asked to be a guest designer for this week’s challenge of Dashing Deer for the What Will You Stamp #195 Challenge!
Project Instructions:
  • First I stamped the two deer in Soft Suede ink onto the white wood-grain design series paper from the Festive Farmhouse DSP. (3-3/4 inch by 5 inch)
  • Then I ran that piece of stamped ds paper through the big shot using the Woodland Textured Embossing Folder.
  • I used my sponge dauber and Smoky Slate ink to give the embossed trees some dimension.
  • I trimmed a piece of Soft Suede card stock to 5-1/4 inch by 4 inch and then cut a square out of the center 1/2 inch from each edge.
  • I placed tear tape on the soft suede frame and then adhered a window sheet to it.  Then I added some foam adhesive strips to that piece and sprinkled some Metallic Sequins over the window sheet.
  • Then I attached the deer stamped ds paper to the foam strips for a perfect shaker card.
  • I stamped the sentiment in Smoky Slate and fussy cut each word out for the sign post.  The sign post is a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock cut at 1/4 inch and then the end cut using the Classic Label Punch.
I love how this card looks like the deer are enjoying a nice walk in the woods.  Thanks for stopping by today.  Make sure to head over and play along with the What Will You Stamp #195 Challenge!  Here are all of the Stampin' Up! products I used for today's project:

    Falling For Leaves for WWYS194

Today I played along with the weekly challenge called What Will You Stamp - WWYS194.  Each week they choose a stamp set that you can use to play along with their challenge.  Have fun and play along this week.
This stamp set and bundle are so perfect for fall and all of those fall birthdays or thank you cards. Especially those that may host a Thanksgiving gathering.  For today's project I ran the dies through some copper foil paper and then placed them over a piece of Nature's Poem design series paper.  I stamped the sentiment in Gray Granite and then used my Stampin' Write markers to give the Blackberry Bliss and Grapefruit Grove color.
You might notice a brand new item on this card too...the hearts die!  It will be available in the upcoming Occasions catalog from Stampin' Up!  Those added hearts scattered around?  Yep, they are the pieces that came out of the heart die cut :)
Thanks for stopping by and letting me share the joy of stamping with you.  Here are all of the Stampin' Up! products I used for today's project:

    Varied Vases for #GDP164

Today I played along with the Global Design Project Challenge #GDP164This week, we are CASEing a gorgeous card by GDP team member Louise Sharp from Australia.  CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit.  Remember that when you CASE a project you can take what you like from the design and make it your own. It might be the stamp set - the colors, the layout, the theme, the images - whatever you like that has inspired you to make a card of your own.  Here is the project this week that you can CASE:
I took the pink and floral inspiration from Louise's card for my project.  I used the Varied Vases stamp set for the sentiment and stamped it on a piece of Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper.  Then I punched it out using the Tailored Tag Punch.  I made a variety of different layouts with these products.
You may notice a new embellishment on the sentiment of each card.  I used the brand new Gingham Gala Sequins that I was able to pre-order during the Stampin' Up! OnStage in Orlando last week.  These will be available in January in the new Occasion Catalog.
Thanks for stopping by and letting me share the joy of stamping with you.  Here are all of the Stampin' Up! products I used for today's project:
