What I Love About Mojo Monday 441!

03/29/2016 - OOPS!! WRONG LINK!!It has been a challenge for me to play along with the Mojo Monday Sketch 441.  I have been staring at this sketch since Monday, wondering what I could make that would be exciting and fun...well now it is Wednesday and nothing fun or wowing had come to mind yet!  I am so thankful for Pinterest, in reviewing other people's projects I saw a few color scheme's that got my creative brain working again.  Yes, sometimes I do fall down the Pinterest rabbit hole and have to snap back to real life and get back to work :)  So here is my project, thanks for stopping by to check it out!
My color inspiration for this card came from this post by Mary Fish.  Such a nice color trio of Blackberry Bliss, Elegant Eggplant and Perfect Plum card stock.  I also used the stamp set "What I Love" which you can earn for free for just one more day by placing a Stampin' Up! order of $50 during sale-a-bration!  The sentiment comes from the "Hello You" thinlits dies.  I used the petite petal punch for the smaller flower and stamped the smallest flower in blackberry bliss and added a rhinestone for that touch of bling.

Zoo Babies for Global Design Project #029

What a fun color challenge from the Global Design Project today!  Bermuda Bay, Tangelo Twist, and Early Espresso worked so nicely with the Zoo Babies stamp set from Stampin' Up!  I used the textured woodland embossing folder on the deco label framelit cut out in early espresso.  Then added the stitched Bermuda bay ribbon with a little knot.  The sentiment is punched out using the word window punch and layered over the washi label punch.

I also added a clear window sheet with tangelo dots as a funky background from the sale-a-bration project life memories in the making card collection that you can still earn until Thursday for FREE with your $50 order.  Don't miss out, place your order HERE!

Thanks for stopping by!  Make sure to head over to the Global Design Project to play along or to check out all of the fun cards :)

Mediterranean Achievers Blog Hop MARCH 2016: Wedding Dreams!

Welcome to the Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop for March. This month our theme is "Wedding Dreams". We are sure that you will find some incredible inspiration from the projects that you are about to see.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Jennifer Michalski at Stamping Serenity or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Jennifer Michalski at Stamping Serenity.

On this project I used the First Sight Stamp Set from the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog.  I stamped the hearts in elegant eggplant on whisper white and then punched them out using the sweetheart punch.  The card layers are elegant eggplant, basic gray, and smoky slate.  I also added a tea lace paper doily.  Then I punched the sentiment "Best Wishes" (Petite Pairs Stamp Set) with a 1 inch circle punch and layered it over the note tag punch in elegant eggplant.  Who knew that the 1 Inch Circle Punch and the Note Tag Punch fit perfectly layered together :)

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss. Remember that currently you are at Jennifer Michalski at Stamping Serenity, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list.

Bloomin' Love!

For this project I used the Bloomin' Love stamp set and Bloomin' Hearts Thinlits Dies.  I followed along with the Mojo Monday 440 Sketch Challenge and got inspiration from the Global Design Project 028 to use the Watermelon Wonder 1 Inch Stitched Satin Ribbon.  I love how the sentiment layers so nicely with the small oval punch over the Lots of Labels Framelit.  I punched the bottom corners of the lost lagoon layer with the curvy corner trio punch. Then I added some rhinestones to the flowers to give it that bling!  Check out these challenges, play along or admire all of the wonderful projects.

Today's project is a wee bit o' Irish for my parents 44th Wedding Anniversary on St. Patty's Day!  I didn't want to post it on Thursday, as I wanted it to be a surprise for them when they opened it :)
For this card I used the going places design series paper stack, the Timeless Textures stamp set, and the Perfect Pairings Sale-A-Bration stamp set that is still available for you to earn until March 31 with your $50 Stampin' Up! order.  I also used the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack to get my clovers with the pearls on them along with the triple banner punch for the sentiment layers.  Click on the colors below to see all of the great products available:

Tea Time for PPA292

I am loving the entire Have A Cuppa suite from Stampin' Up!  They really hit a home run with this stamp set and framelits bundle with matching design series paper, ribbon and a cardstock pack.  I followed along with the Pals Paper Arts Sketch 292 for this card.  The tiny tea bags on the background ds paper are one of my absolute favorite pieces from that paper stack.  I added half of a tea lace paper doily and some bermuda bay stitched ribbon as a finishing touch.

Party Wishes For A Happy Birthday!

The stamp set Party Wishes may be one of the best stamp sets for Birthday projects, it is very versatile.  I also used the balloon bouquet punch on this card, punching the balloons out of the melon mambo from the Brights Design Series Paper Stack.  The black script background is from the Neutrals Design Series Background Stack.  The Design Series Background Stacks are such a great investment, they have lots of variety and coordinate with my cardstock, ink pads and additional ds paper.  One thing you don't want to miss from the Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog is the Baker's Twine Combo Pack that includes melon mambo and mint macaron mixed with basic black.

Guy Greetings for Mojo Monday 439

This card turned out so dapper!  I love the Guy Greetings stamp set from Stampin' Up!  It gives you such versatility when making masculine cards.  I stamped the hats and the sentiment using the basic black archival stamp pad, it turned out so nice and crisp.  Then I punched the sentiment out using the large oval punch and layered it over the extra large oval punch.  The triple banner punch made such a nice addition to this card.  Check out the color inspirations.

For the card layout I played along with the Mojo Monday sketch challenge.  To play along or to see all of the projects head on over to Mojo Monday.

Painting The Town for PPA291

For this card I went with a cucumber crush card base and added a piece of pool party embossed with the large polka dot embossing folder, then a piece of 2015-2017 In Color Design Series Paper Stack in Watermelon Wonder.  I used the hexagon punch and stamped the paint brushes on pool party and punched them out with the 1 inch circle punch.  For the sentiment and layer or watermelon wonder I used the Chalk Talk Framelits.  Then I swooshed some clear Wink of Stella over the paint brushes and above and beneath the sentiment for that glimmer effect.  So sparkly, I love it!

I am loving the host rewards stamp set Love You Sew!  It has some really fun stamps and sayings.  You can purchase it for just $14 in the clear mount or $19 in wood mount with your Stampin' Rewards when you place an order of $150 or more.  I used it for this card for the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge.

March Pals Blog Hop: Spring Has Sprung!

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for March 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month we are featuring Spring and Spring related projects. We hope you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.
For the Pals Spring Has Spring blog hop today I am showcasing the Honeycomb Happiness stamp set that you can earn for free with your $50 order until March 31, 2016.  The little chick was stamped on daffodil delight card stock in crushed curry and then I snipped him out and popped him onto the cherry on top designer paper stack balloon paper using some dimensionals.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set and is stamped in bermuda bay onto pool party cardstock and punched out using the word window punch.  I love the color palette of the cherry on top dsp, it just reminds me of all the colors of spring coming to life again after our long winter in Minnesota!  Crushed curry, watermelon wonder, cucumber crush, bermuda bay, and pool party  card stock make such a fun blend on this card.  I added a few clouds stamped in bermuda bay on the inside pool party sheet for the background of this Z-Fold card.
Here is a picture of the card from the top.  This is a standard card, I cut an 8 1/2 by 11 inch sheet in half at 5 1/2 inches and folded it at 4 1/4 inches, then on the front of the card I scored it at 2 1/8 inch and folded at the score backwards to give the front a Z look to it.  Then I added the front 3 1/2 by 4 inch square with the chick on the front.

Thanks for visiting. To continue with the hop, please refer to the Blog Hop Line-up below. We hope to see you on next month’s Pals Blog Hop!

Wildflower Fields...GDP026

For today's card I used the Wildflower Fields Design Series Paper that you can earn for FREE with your $50 order from Stampin Up! until March 31, 2016.  It is full of such rich colors like Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Blackberry Bliss and many more.  I punched the corners of the Design Paper with the curvy corner trio punch, so pretty.  Then I die cut a piece of lost lagoon with the Lots of Labels Framelits and layered the grateful saying in hello honey over it.  I then punched out three little flowers in blackberry bliss from the itty bitty accents punch pack and placed a pearl in the center of each one.  For this sketch I played along with the Global Design Project 026.  Such a fun sketch this week, head on over and play along or check out all of the projects.http://www.global-design-project.com/2016/03/global-design-project-026-sketch.html

Suite Sayings for PPA 290

For this card I used the Suite Sayings Stamp Set for the sentiment and embossed it in gold.  The Balloon Framelits Dies were the perfect layer for the sentiment.  The basic black embossed with the vertical lines comes from the Color Me Irresistible Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I also used a window sheet from the Sale-A-Bration item Memories In The Making Project Life Specialty Card Collection that you can earn for FREE with a $50 Stampin' Up! purchase.  The gold on the balloon bow and the banner are from the newest Sale-A-Bration item Mettalics Glitter Tape that you can also earn for FREE with a $50 purchase.

This card turned out exactly as I had hoped it would!  I am so excited to share this card with you and send it to an amazing person who just earned a huge career milestone and deserves such great success!
