Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for January 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes. This month we are showcasing projects using Stampin’ Up! products featuring a theme from any of the following: Valentine’s Day; Thinking of You; Get Well; or Sympathy. All of these themes come “From the Heart.” We hope you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below. The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.
For the January Pals Blog Hop I made a much needed sympathy card using the classic, extremely popular, and versatile Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! called Lovely As A Tree! This was one of the very first stamp sets I purchased when I fell in love with stamping. The colors are Always Artichoke, Sahara Sand, and Early Espresso. I also used the design series paper called Wildflower Fields that you can earn for free from Stampin' Up! with your $50 order. The sentiment comes from the Petite Pairs stamp set and is punched out using the 1-1/4 inch circle punch and layered over the extra large oval punch. Check out all of the Stampin' Up! products I used for this project below.

Very pretty card, Jennifer. Nothing like a hand made card to say I'm sorry from the heart.
ReplyDeleteThanks Shawn. It's one of those cards that you want to give, but hate to have to make.
DeleteJennifer, thanks for reminding us to pull out those older well loved stamp sets! Great card!
ReplyDeleteBeth, thank you for your comment. I do adore this stamp set :)
DeleteI am so sorry for the need to make this special sympathy card, but it certainly says "From the Heart" from you. I love the strength symbolism that trees portray. Nicely done, Jennifer...
ReplyDeleteKaty, thank you! Lovely as a tree has always been my go to for sympathy cards :)
DeleteSuch a beautiful, strong card. Tried and true.
ReplyDeleteRae, thanks for stopping by :)
DeleteThis card will go a long way to show you care, Jennifer!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pattie :)
DeleteThese are the worst type of cards I like to make, but when I look at the beautiful tall tree it reminds me of the strength we often have to have when facing life's punches.
ReplyDeleteMaggie, thanks for your kind comment :)
