Cable Knit Sneak Peek for PPA313

For today's card I used the new Cable Knit Embossing Folder from the Stampin'  Up! Holiday Catalog.  I played along with the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge 313, which is a color challenge from my friend Mary Fish.  Here is the color challenge, head over to play along or just to check out all of the cool projects:

On this card, there is a trick to using the new cable knit embossing folder and I have provided a video from Stampin' Up! for you to see how it works.

Project Details:
  • I started with Tip Top Taupe card stock for the card base and added layers of peekaboo peach, tip top taupe, and flirty flamingo.
  • Then I took a piece of tip top taupe and stamped the flourish stamp from Timeless Textures in tip top taupe ink.  Then I ran that piece of card stock through my big shot using the new Cable Knit Embossing Folder from the upcoming Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.  Special note, with this folder being thicker, you use the base plate, the folder and then just one of your clear plates to run it through the big shot.  (See the video)
  • The sentiment is from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and is stamped in Tip Top Taupe onto peekaboo peach card stock. I punched it out using the Decorative Label Punch and then punched out two flirty flamingo decorative labels and cut each one in half to layer behind the sentiment.
  • I added two leaf branches from the Flourish Thinlits Dies behind the sentiment as well.
  • For finishing touches I added some Tip Top Taupe 5/8 inch mini striped ribbon.
