Eastern Palace for MOJO Monday 491

Today I played along with the Mojo Monday 491 card challenge.  It was an awesome sketch challenge this week from Julee Tilman.  Plan to play along and head over to Mojo Monday and see all of the fun projects.

For today's project I used the new Eastern Palace Suite.  It comes with a set of 14 thinlits dies and a matching photopolymer stamp set.  I also used the 2017-2019 In Colors called Tranquil Tide and Lemon Lime Twist and some of the Eastern Palace Specialty Design Series Paper.  Watch for a special customer deal coming on May 1 when you will have the opportunity buy the Eastern Palace Bundle and get free gifts.

Eastern Palace Sneak Peek!

For today's project I am using the newest product from Stampin' Up! that was just released on Tuesday for demonstrators only.  It is called the Eastern Palace Suite and comes with a beautiful photopolymer stamp set and set of 14 thinlits dies, along with some rich new 2017-2019 In Colors called Fresh Fig, Tranquil Tide and Lemon Lime Twist.  In the bundle I also got some fabulous gold enamel stickers along with some tassels for added fun! 

 

Here is an example of how the thinlits dies cut on the card stock, which is why I chose to circle die cut them.  You can use these die cuts in many different ways with your projects.

I die cut out the circles using the Layering Circles Framelits after cutting the Medallions from the Eastern Medallions Thinlits.  Here is an example of how it looked after it was cut with the circle framelit:

Love & Sympathy For #GDP081

I played along with the Global Design Project #GDP081 today.  The color challenge was really fun, but the card that I made is not always fun to have to give.  Head over to the Global Design Project and play along with the challenge. 

I chose to use Daffodil Delight as my third color with this project.  It gives a nice subtle addition to the Night of Navy and Whisper White.  The Floral Boutique Design Series Paper made it all come together.

• The sentiment comes from the stamp set called Love & Sympathy (RETIRED) and was stamped in Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White.  I die cut it out using the Layering Labels Framelits.
• I die cut the Night of Navy card stock with the Stitched Shapes Thinlits Dies.  Then I attached it to the Floral Boutique DS Paper with Stampin' Dimensionals.
• I added some Night of Navy seam binding (retired) and used some Daffodil Delight 1/8 inch ribbon (retired).



This card is going to a friend who just lost her mother.  I just want her to know that I am thinking of her and praying for comfort during this difficult time.
